Life; it’s all about try to make sense of it, enjoying it, discovering it, being fully a part of it and helping others along the way.

Welcome to my personal blog. First get the important stuff up front. I happily married to my wife Mercy from the Philippines. I have 3 amazing, outstanding daughters and 4 grand daughters (ones in the cooker).  How many more?  I’ll love’m all, I am truly a blessed man.

I was born in Kentucky, grew up in Arlington VA / Washington D.C..  Then I did some traveling in Europe and by far the best place I stayed was on the Island of Crete.  When I was there Life Magazine called it the “Last Utopia”, and that it was.  I lived in a Roman Cave and then a bamboo hut which I built on the beach. Across from the cove of Matala was the mythological Island of Sirens.  Joni Mitchell happened to stay in the hotel while I was there, one of my favorite singers of that generation.  What a treat.  There were not the hordes of people just a few of us hippies painting rocks for the locals, swimming in the Mediterranean, and basking in the sun. More on this another time…

Time pasted and moved across country to Encinitas California.  Meet a bunch of great people. Found Jesus.  He changed my life forever. I worked construction and sold carpets with my buddy Doug and helped start North Coast Calvary Chapel, a bible study in a friends house. Lead worship for about 5 years and participated in various ministries. The recession hit and I moved down to La Mesa, east of San Diego to attend San Diego State University.  I really wanted to get back to Encinitas so I packed up moved back and finished my Computer Science Degree at National University the Vista Campus….

…As a senior software engineer I worked for and contracted with the following companies (a few in my resume are) IBM Boca Raton, SAIC San Diego, BMC Long Beach CA, Bluebird Carlsbad CA, United Technologies Microelectronics Corp. Colorado, Hitachi Data Systems, and a few smaller gigs….  I took an offer from Compaq Computer, after a divorce, and moved to Houston Texas.  I worked for Compaq Computer,  Chase Bank, Marimba, Sprint.  As you can see I was mostly contracting software jobs and the permanent positions where more like contracts.  As the projects finished unemployment began and off to find the next gig.  My software contracting was all getting outsourced to India so I took a vacation with my savings to rethink what to do…

I have been in the wholesale residential and commercial real estate market since 2004. I started an eviction service to deal with all the tenants not paying rent thinking that a homeowner was an arm of the government and felt like they should give free housing. I have since sold a number of wholesale properties, some Luxury Homes, I have completed a number of Short Sales all across the country .

I tried a lot of things with little satisfaction and real estate wholesaling I am now back to my first working passion with internet marketing, web design and photography.

BACK TO THE FUTURE: Being a Senior Software Developer, we are now launching our Internet Marketing company Houston Local Marketing the main site and working with Blue Coral Productions for our video marketing.  We are able to provide increased profits from generating traffic via the internet, social media and video productions. This probably the most fun in this business. I love being the director.

Blessings to all who have visited here,

Doug Ison

  1. Finally, I located the information I was looking for. I have been doing research on this subject, and for three days I keep finding web-sites that are supposed to have what I’m looking for, only to be discouraged with the lack of what I had to have. I wish I would have found your web-site quicker! I had about 25% of what I needed and your web-site has that, and the rest of what I had to have to complete my research. Thank you and keep up the good work!

Hi, I wish to let all of you bloggers / internet users recognize about a fresh Search Engine called Braxea. Its pretty dam cool… It combines Google, Bing and Yahoo into one and also lets you search for videos on YouTube and News throughout the net. Maybe this will end up being the new Google ?

  5. Great blog! I genuinely love how it is easy on my eyes and the data are well written. I am wondering how I can be notified whenever a new post has been made. I have subscribed to your rss feed which should do the trick! Have a nice day!
